Ventaquemada, Boyacá

Tb Plus Energy announced the commissioning of its first electric vehicle charger installed on Colombian highways, marking an important step in the development of electric mobility infrastructure in the country.
The new charging point is located at the Estimece Sumerce restaurant, in the municipality of Ventaquemada (Boyacá), along the highway that connects Bogotá and Tunja, one of the most traveled road corridors in central Colombia.
This charger has a capacity of 23 kW, allowing electric vehicle users to recharge their batteries while taking a break during their journey. In addition, its strategic location offers travelers a space where they can rest, enjoy local cuisine, and carry out activities while their vehicle charges.
The installation of this charger is part of Tb Plus Energy’s expansion plan, which aims to deploy 350 electric chargers along Colombia’s highways, with the objective of strengthening electric mobility infrastructure and providing greater confidence to drivers who choose more sustainable transportation technologies.
“With this first highway charger, we want to send a clear message: electric mobility in Colombia is already a reality, and we are working to ensure that more people can travel with confidence, knowing they will find charging points across the country,” representatives from Tb Plus Energy stated.
This initiative seeks not only to facilitate travel with electric vehicles, but also to accelerate the energy transition, reduce emissions, and promote a cleaner and more sustainable transportation model for Colombia.
Through projects like this, Tb Plus Energy continues to establish itself as a key player in the development of innovative energy solutions, contributing to the growth of electric mobility and sustainable infrastructure in the country.
